Who We Are
The Office of the Head of Service (HOS) is the apex human resource management institution of the Anambra State Civil Service. Established under the Civil Service Commission Law, we are charged with the overall administration, coordination, and development of the state's public service workforce.
To build a professional, efficient, and ethical civil service that delivers high-quality services to the people of Anambra State through sound personnel policies, continuous capacity building, and fair welfare administration.

Historical Milestones
The Office of the Head of Service was created following the creation of Anambra State, to oversee the nascent civil service.
Implementation of comprehensive reforms including performance management and decentralised training.
Launch of digital personnel records and online promotion application system.
Full automation of pension processing, reducing clearance time from 12 months to 3 months.
Establishment of the Anambra Public Service Academy for continuous professional development.
