Anambra State Ministry of Physical Planning
Who We Are
The Anambra State Ministry of Physical Planning was established to ensure the orderly and sustainable development of land and built environment across the state. We are the primary agency responsible for the preparation, approval, and enforcement of physical development plans, land use regulations, and building control standards.
Our Mission: To guide and regulate physical development in Anambra State through professional planning, transparent processes, and inclusive stakeholder engagement, creating livable, resilient, and economically vibrant communities.
Our Vision: A model sub-national planning system that balances growth with environmental stewardship, cultural heritage, and social equity — making Anambra a benchmark for urban and regional planning in Nigeria.
We operate under the Anambra State Physical Planning and Development Law, 2016 (as amended), and collaborate with local government planning authorities, professional bodies, and development partners.
