The Legislative Arm of Anambra State

Who We Are

The Anambra State House of Assembly is the unicameral legislative body of Anambra State, Nigeria. Established under the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the House is composed of 30 Honourable Members elected from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

Our mandate is to make laws for the peace, order, and good governance of Anambra State; to represent the interests of our constituents; to oversee the executive branch; and to perform other functions as conferred by the Constitution.

To enact progressive laws, ensure executive accountability, and serve as the true voice of the people of Anambra State.
