For Journalists

Media Accreditation Process

Journalists covering Anambra State Government activities must obtain accreditation from the Ministry of Information. The process is simple and free of charge.

  • Submit a letter of request from your media organization.
  • Provide two passport photographs and a valid ID.
  • Accreditation is valid for one year and renewable annually.
  • Accredited journalists receive priority access to press briefings and events.

How to Request a Press Release+
MDAs and government agencies can request the issuance of a press release by submitting a formal memo to the Commissioner for Information, detailing the event or announcement. The ministry will review, edit, and distribute the release within 24 hours.
Social Media Promotion Requests+
Government programs and events can be promoted on the state’s official social media channels. Submit a request at least 48 hours in advance with all relevant graphics and text.
Access to the Ministry Library+
The ministry’s library is open to the public from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Visitors can access government gazettes, policy documents, and historical records on site.
Documentary Production Requests+
MDAs and partners can request documentary production services. A planning meeting will be scheduled to discuss scope, timeline, and budget. Contact the Director of Productions for inquiries.
