Anambra State Ministry of Tourism
Who We Are
Mission: To position Anambra State as a premier tourism destination in Nigeria by developing and promoting our unique cultural and natural assets, regulating hospitality services to world-class standards, and fostering a thriving tourism investment ecosystem.
Vision: A vibrant, sustainable tourism sector that drives economic growth, creates jobs, preserves our heritage, and showcases the beauty and hospitality of Anambra to the world.
Established in 1999 as the Anambra State Tourism Board, the Ministry was elevated to a full ministry in 2007 to reflect the growing importance of tourism to the state’s economy. Over the years, we have developed iconic sites, trained hundreds of guides, and hosted landmark events that celebrate the rich Igbo culture and natural wonders of Anambra.
We operate under the Anambra State Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Diaspora Affairs and work closely with local government councils, traditional rulers, and private sector partners to deliver our mandate.
