Anambra State Launches Free Digital Learning Platform for Secondary Schools
Awka, June 10, 2025 – The Anambra State Ministry of Education has unveiled a new online learning portal, Anambra e-Learn, providing free access to interactive lessons, video tutorials, and assessment tools for all secondary school students in the state. The platform, accessible via web and mobile, covers core subjects including Mathematics, English, Basic Science, and ICT. Commissioner Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh stated, 'This initiative is a game-changer for digital inclusion and will help bridge the learning gap, especially in rural areas.'
Over 5,000 Teachers to Benefit from Capacity Building Workshop
Awka, May 22, 2025 – In partnership with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), the Ministry has commenced a statewide training programme for 5,200 primary and junior secondary school teachers. The workshops focus on modern pedagogical techniques, classroom management, and the use of technology in teaching. The training will run in phases across all 21 local government areas over the next three months.
Ministry Announces 2025 Common Entrance Examination Dates
Awka, April 15, 2025 – The Anambra State Ministry of Education has announced that the 2025 Common Entrance Examination into public secondary schools will hold on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Registration is open from May 1 to June 30 at all zonal education offices and online via the Ministry's portal. Parents and guardians are advised to register early to avoid last-minute congestion.
